Joanne
I'm not sure how wet to keep seeds in seed raising mix. I am using a small hot house. Thank you.

Seeds: flowers, herbs. Not bigger vegetable seeds that I plant directly into garden beds.

Answer: Hi Joanne,

Thank you for contacting Yates.

Growing Citrus from seeds is difficult and when germinated may not provide the fruit that you are after or the longevity of life that the grafted trees do.

If you are growing from seed you will need to ensure that they are covered lightly to about 5mm and water regularly with a misting gun. Keep the area in a greenhouse environment but out of direct light. Ensure that it doesn’t get too warm in the area where they are germinating.

Once you do get the seeds germinating and some true leaves have formed, you can give them a light feed with Dynamic Lifter Liquid Plant Food.

Kind regards
