What does small blotches of white marks on the leaves mean on my young snow peas & dwarf peas

Submitted: 02:10PM, 05 Aug 2011
Answer: The small white spots are likely to be fungal and more than likely powdery mildew.
Powdery mildew presents itself as a dusting of grey-white powder on foliage, and distortion or puckering of new leaves. The infection often begins on the underside of leaves. The spores require high humidity for germination however, once the fungus has begun to grow it will continue to do so even if conditions are dry. Yates Lime Sulphur will control this fungus on vegetables.
