My garden is a first floor balcony in pots 100-300mm depth. Will vegs.grow in that depth? pansies/begonias OK

Answer: Hi Robert,
100 mm deep pot is very shallow and herbs such as parsley, oregano and basil could be grown. Take care with watering during the warmer summer months.
Vegetables such as cauliflower, carrots, lettuce and cabbages can be grown as this time of year in the larger pots. During Spring and Summer you could try tomatoes and even beans if trellising is used. Spinach and other leafy vegetables could also be grown.
