I have a good crop of cucumbers growing. They are of good size but bright yellow in colour. Where have I gone wrong?

Answer: Hi Suzanne, cucumbers are picked and eaten when immature. Yellow cucumbers have been left too long and are over-ripe and will be bitter and inedible. Best to pick when still green all over. If yellowing at a small size then fertilising and/or watering may have been inadequate resulting in small fruit – depends on the variety.
