I am starting a vegie garden and am wondering how to do it? e.g:chicken manure then soil on top. also can i use grass clippings under the soil?Answer ASAP

Answer: Hi Dermott, generally you mix your fertilisers composts and manures, gypsum and lime if needed, into the top 8 – 10 inches of the soil, or you can set up a no-dig system. Quite a big topic to cover and a bit hard to be specific without knowing a great deal more about your site, so the best bet is to read the chapter on setting up a veg patch in the Yates Garden Guide Book.
