i have never grown before how long do my sweet potatoes stay in the ground for

four months and have two of theme.

Answer: Dear Joaiah,

Sweet potato prefer growing during the warmer months of the year and will be ready for harvesting 4 – 6 months after planting. If you trace back to where you originally planted the cutting, you will notice that the stem has thickened. You can then lift the plant with a fork and harvest the sweet potatoes growing at the base. Enjoy.
