Lynda
Medium_100_4815 My cabbage was about 20cm in diam when something has chewed through half. Could this have been a bird?

Live in Perth suburbs, growing vegetables in raised tubs. Other vegetables have only small holes (from snails?) as I cant find any bugs on leaves. Only one cabbage eaten.

Answer: Hi Lynda,
Thats quite a big bite there which could have been caused by a possum. Most things that attack vegetables come out at night so this would be the best time to observe what could be causing this to happen. If you find you have caterpillars then you can use a product called natures way caterpillar killer but you would normally see evidence of them on the leaves. I hope this helps
