Holes in eggplants

Something is putting deep round holes in my eggplants.
Could you tell me what is doing thi and how to prevent it.

Answer: Hi Susan,

Thank you for contacting Yates. Holes in plants are generally a good sign you have caterpillars. We recommend you spray your plants thoroughly with Yates Nature’s Way Dipel. This should help control the critters! Reapply as necessary.
