Maiden hair tranplant

we have a large 40 cm pot with a maiden hair in it. want to transfer it to smaller pot. please advise. thanks

Answer: Hi Sohrab,

Thank you for contacting Yates.

You can easily transfer your maidenhair fern into a larger pot. Ensure that the pot that you have chosen is twice the size of the current root ball. This will allow the plant to easily grow into its new position as well as avoid having too much soil being sodden around the root ball.

Carefully, remove the plant from the existing pot. You can gently tease the roots. Half fill the new pot and place the fern into the new pot and gently back fill. Gently feed with Yates Dynamic Lifter Liquid. Make sure that you water the plant well after transplanting.
