Garden ready!

Today’s plant rescue mission included half a dozen $1 capsicum seedlongs so rather than crowd them into the existing beds or risk losing them to the heat while we build the new beds I dug up a stretch of potatoeA to make space.

Up came a few garlic and an onion or two all in preparation for a Sunday roast. As I was pulling up my ‘Cranberry’, ‘Sapphire’ and ‘Kipfler’ spuds I couldn’t help but think how the garden defines our diet. I’m already thinking we’ll have spinach omelettes in the morning to use up the oversized Lazio and wondering when the tomatoes will colour up and the beans will plump out so I can enjoy minestrone.
