Butter Beans Success

hi-ho to vegetables is talking about growing Beans, Carrot from Melbourne

The Carrots were started before the Challenge but these Beans were harvested and eaten together.  These are my Butter Beans that I love grown for the Challenge!  Success!!

Tomatoes and Carrots do well together

This bed has lots of Tomatoes and Carrots.  Planting close together has advantages.  The Carrots shade the soil around the Tomatoes. One grows above and one below. They seem happy.

Cucumber Bed

hi-ho to vegetables is talking about growing Carrot, Tomato, Beetroot from Melbourne

Here is my Cucumber bed.  I like the Apple Cucumbers the best and I peel them for salads to go with other salad vegetables I grow like Lettuce, Tomato, Carrot and Beetroot. Isn't it lovely having lots for a salad in your garden.

Zucchinis at Different Stages

hi-ho to vegetables is talking about growing Zucchini from Melbourne

I will extend my harvest by having plants at different stages.  Stagger your plants so that you have them to pick longer.  I am reporting success with this plant.  It is now producing nice young fruit.
