Ereadication of creeping oxalis in kikuyu lawn

I need to try and eradicate creeping oxalis from a kikuyu lawn, but need a product that won’t adversly impact my chooks who free range on the grass. Is the lush bindi and broadleaf weeder the best product. How often do I need to spray to get on top of the oxalis and how long should I wait before letting the chooks onto the grass. Thanks

Answer: Hi Matt,

Thank you for contacting Yates.

You can spray the whole lawn with Yates Buffalo Pro Concentrate, which is registered for controlling a wide range of broadleaf weeds including creeping oxalis. You can view the product using the below link.

You can also try Yates Weedkiller For Lawns Spot Spray if the infestation is only in some areas. You can see a picture of the product using the below link.

You will need to keep pets/animals off the treated lawn until the spray application has dried, which would make it easier if spot spray and you can screen out the section from the free-range chickens.

Hope this helps and happy gardening.

Best Regards,
Louise
