If I convincingly crush the bulbs of onion weed is it okay to put in the compost?

My compost is not the greatest, so if there is a chance of regermination that could easily happen.

Answer: Hi Mel,

Thank you for your enquiry.

If the bulbs are completely crushed, it won’t regrow in the compost, however, if there are some bulbs left, even partially, it may still regerminate. Best to spot spray onion weeds with Yates Zero Ultra Tough Heavy Duty Ready To Use Spray. Kills bamboo, onion weed, oxalis and more!
