How to grow curry trees in a garden
Step 1
Choose a sunny or part sun position. A rich well drained soil, prepare soil by adding
Yates Dynamic Lifter Soil Improver & Plant Fertiliser. Needs protection in frost prone areas in the winter.
Step 2
Sow seed direct or in seed trays using
Yates Seed Raising Mix and water well. Semi hardwood cuttings can also be taken in the spring. Use a suitable propagation mix.

Water on a regular basis at first to get them established. Once the seedlings or cuttings have started to grow, use a good liquid fertiliser like

Step 4
Tip prune young plants to promote new growth. Harvest plants when they are a suitable size. They are an evergreen plant, but will slow down in the winter. Leaves can be taken and dried out to use later.
Step 5
Maintain plants in the late autumn and winter for new growth in the spring. Feed with Yates Dynamic Lifter Soil Improver & Plant Fertiliser.
How to grow curry trees in a pot
Step 1
Choose a suitable pot. Pot size should be minimum 300 mm deep and wide. Use a good potting mix like
Yates Potting Mix with Dynamic Lifter. Place in a full sun or part shade position.
Step 2
Sow seed direct or use cuttings, making sure there is plenty of space between plants. Use some Yates Seed Raising Mix to cover seeds.
Step 3
Water on a regular basis and once the plants have germinated or taken root, thin them out and use Yates Thrive Vegies & Herb Liquid Plant Food weekly to promote growth.
