How to Use
Directions for Use
How to Apply:Step 1: RakePrepare the soil by turning it over to a depth of 5-10cm, rake and level to achieve a firm and even surface. Spread and rake through a lawn starter fertiliser or organic fertiliser to help the seed grow following germination.Step 2: Sow the seedShake box well, then scatter the lawn seed using the built in seed applicator located at side of pack. Scatter half of your required amount in a north-south direction and the remaining half in an east-west direction; this will ensure an even distribution of seed. Lightly rake over.Step 3: WaterWater in well until soil is damp with a fine mist spray to prevent movement of seed. Keep the newly sown area damp at all times by regularly watering with a fine mist spray. During drier periods this could mean on an hourly basis. Avoid traffic on this area until the lawn is well established.
Tips for Best Results
Preparation - if soil is acidic, add lime to ensure soil pH is ideal for lawn grass (between 6 and 7). Treat heavy clay soils with gypsum before seeding.Mowing - lawn can be mowed once it reaches a height of 5-10cm. Never mow more than one third of the grass height at a time.Feeding - when the new lawn or patch is at least 12 weeks old, encourage growth by feeding with a good quality lawn fertiliser.Weeding - wait 12 weeks before applying any herbicides to the new grass.
