Fairy Ring

Fairy Rings form a ring of green grass surrounded by an outer ring of dead grass with mushroom-like growths appearing occasionally in the affected area.  The fungus responsible for fairy rings is very deep in the soil and the only complete cure is to remove the turf and soil to a depth of 20cm from the affected area.

Lawns should always be watered in the morning so that they dry well before nightfall.
