How to Grow

Full sun
How
Choose a sunny, well-drained position. Work in lime and Yates Blood & Bone before planting. Sow into damp soil beside trellis or support (up to 2m) direct where they are to grow. Cover with Yates Seed Raising Mix and firm down. Do not water for a couple of days after sowing.
Care
For best results begin applying Yates Thrive Soluble Flower & Fruit Plant Food when flower buds form. Regular picking will extend the harvest. Protect from snails and slugs with Yates Blitzem.
Hint
Great companion plant for beans, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, cabbage, celery, lettuce and radish. Avoid overwatering - seeds may rot before germination if soil is too wet. Water at base of plant, rather than overhead, to minimise risk of disease. At end of harvest, dig spent plants into the soil to add extra organic nitrogen. Position trellis running north to south for maximum sunlight.
